User Research, Interaction, Prototyping & A/B User Testing
May -June, 2019
Description
The aim was to create a reliable platform that reduces the cognitive load on the studio’s clients and designers.
“How to create an efficient navigation layout for the application and consistent User Interfaces?”
My Role
This project was developed in 2 phases:

-
Phase 1: I researched for the basic data visualising strategy and choose the most suited solution. Also, build the final product( which includes final user flow + user interfaces).

-
Phase 2: I created user journeys for more complex features and basic wireframes.
Understanding the product Phase - 1
Analysing the User
The first thing is to start with was defining users who will be using this app for the studio. we came up with the following groups:
Clients to have a manageable interface through which they can connect with multiple designers working on a single project. Creating an effortless experience of working with only one designer.
Designers to stay up to date with their tasks. To record their progress and working hours efficiently.
Cusp manager to assign projects to designers and have an overall view.
Research & Process
Defining features
To provide the overview of the features in phase 1. This draft provides an outline for making several design decisions and provides a useful user experience. These functionalities are derived through various meetings with stakeholder.
Functions derived
1. Task Status
2. Add Task
3. Add members to any project independently
4. Task-Oriented
5. Easy Switching between clients and projects.

Basic defined navigation consisted of a 3-level menu.

Approach

Based on a research by Jennifer Rose Kingsburg “A comparison of three-level menu navigation structures for web design design”.
Most efficient layout were left-left-left and left-top-top.
